Inside the 20 de Noviembre market
By Sergio Camalich
I arrived at Oaxaca very early in the morning, after one of the worst nights on a bus ever, so I was a little bit tired, to say the least.
Since I was Couchsurfing, I didn’t have a place to stay until my host was ready to receive me, so I walked around downtown until I luckily found the Azul Cielo Hostel, who were kind enough to take care of my backpacks while I rested a little bit and then walked again around the city.
I was getting hungry so my first stop was the 20 de Noviembre market, a market known for all the food you can find in it.
As I walked in, I noticed I was entering through the meat section, with its smoky atmosphere and delicious smell.
Decorated with papel picado and with noise all around, I walked through its halls until I found a small place to eat and enjoy watching the people running around.
