Looking into the Galaxy

After walking for a couple of days—on our way to the archaeological site of El Mirador, Guatemala—we had the opportunity of climbing the Danta Pyramid for sunset.
Once the Sun went down, everybody started going back to camp, but I asked permission to stay a little longer.
It wasn’t long before the Milky Way appeared above me, perfectly visible thanks to our location and the clarity of the night.
Surrounded by only jungle and the sound of the monkeys below me, I dare say this is the most epic moment of my time in Guatemala—and certainly one I’ll never forget.
